If your resolution for the new year includes going outside more, spending more time with your dog, meeting new people or getting more exercise by walking, you can combine them all at a dog walk taking place on Saturday morning December 30. The Friends of Lord Stirling Stable’s Saturday Dog Walks cover the trails at Somerset County Park Commission’s Lord Stirling Stable located at 256 South Maple Avenue in Basking Ridge.
Check-in time for owners and their pets begins at 10:15AM. The guided trail walk starts at 10:30AM and lasts about an hour. Registration fee is $3 per dog (no charge for humans) and all pets must be leashed and kept under control. These sanctioned Dog Walks offer participants a rare and unique opportunity to explore the beautiful equestrian trails of Lord Stirling Stable on foot. The dog walks continue each Saturday morning through May, 2018. For more information, contact Martha at 973-635-8672 or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Friends of Lord Stirling Stable is a 501 (c) (3) organization that supports the equestrian activities of the stables. By contributing their ideas, volunteering their time, and donating revenue generated from events, the Friends help provide a continuous and expanding program of activities.
