Boy Scout Troop 150 is hosting a Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, December 19 from 8AM to noon. This longstanding tradition is sure to give holiday shoppers enough energy to brave the crowds as they finish off any last-minute items on their lists. The menu includes pancakes, sausage, coffee, orange juice and apple juice. This event takes place at the Congdon-Overlook Lodge F&AM at 15 Morristown Road in Bernardsville. Tickets are $10.49.
Boy Scout Troop 150 is chartered by the Bernardsville United Methodist Church and is comprised of scouts from Mendham, Bedminster and other surrounding towns. There are at least nine different schools represented in the Troop. Weekly meetings are held in the Bernardsville Middle School gym from September until the middle of May.
Saturday’s Pancake Breakfast fundraiser will support the Troop’s activities which include at least one overnight outing each month and at least one BSA historic trail per scouting year. Past outings have included backpacking parts of the Appalachian Trail, rock climbing, skiing, visits to the Gettysburg and Valley Forge Historic Trails, Quinzee (snow shelter) camping, shooting sports, hiking, white water rafting and canoeing. Additionally, every July the Troop spends a week at Sabattis Adventure Camp in New York State’s Adirondack Mountains. Visit the Troop’s website at www.Troop150Bville.org.
